2017 Institute on Religious Life National Meeting
In 1917, Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children and entrusted to them Heaven’s peace plan. She promised that the whole world would be at peace, and that many souls would be saved if her requests were heeded. In reflecting upon the importance of this message, Pope Francis reminds us, “Our Lady of Fatima invites us once again to turn to prayer, penance and conversion…. She asks us to never offend God again. She forewarns all humanity about the necessity of abandoning oneself to God, the source of love and mercy.”
To celebrate the centenary anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, everyone—clergy, religious, laity and students—is invited to attend this special weekend intended for spiritual renewal, reflection and affirmation in the role of the consecrated life, especially in living the Blessed Virgin’s call to prayer, conversion and consecration. The weekend is co-sponsored by the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA (Blue Army).
We are pleased that Msgr. Charles Mangan, has graciously accepted our invitation to give the keynote address on Friday, April 21, 2017. Monsignor Mangan’s address will be titled, "All In: Entrusting Everything to Our Lady through Marian Consecration.
At the National Meeting's Saturday banquet dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Guzior, long-time friends of the Institute on Religious Life and supporters of many worthy Catholic causes and charities, will receive the 2017 Pro Fidelitate et Virtute Award. We wish to recognize the Guziors for their generous commitment to and support of the consecrated life. The after dinner speaker at the banquet will be Rev. Andrew Apostoli, C.F.R.
