Merciful Like the Father
In his homily announcing the Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis boldly stated that, "No one can be excluded from the mercy of God, everyone knows the way to access it and the Church is the house that welcomes all and refuses no one. Its doors remain wide open so that those who are touched by grace can find certainty in forgiveness."
To celebrate this extraordinary Jubilee Year, everyone--clergy, religious, laity and students--is invited to attend this special weekend intended for spiritual renewal, reflection and affirmation in the role of the consecrated life in the Church's mission of mercy.
We are pleased that Most Rev. Donald J. Hying, Bishop of Gary and Vice President of the Institute on Religious Life, has graciously accepted our invitation to give the keynote address on Friday, April 1, 2016. His Excellency's address will be titled "Contemplating the Face of Mercy: Rediscovering the Person of Jesus".
At the National Meeting's Saturday banquet dinner, Rev. Seraphim Michalenko, MIC, world-renowned expert on the message of and devotion to Divine Mercy, will receive the 2016 Pro Fidelitate et Virtute Award. We wish to recognize Father's fidelity to the consecrated life, as well as, his heroic efforts to spread the message of Divine Mercy.
