Mission

We are a Monastic Community originally founded as an Anglican Community in England in 1851. We treasure our Anglican patrimony referred to by Pope Benedict XVI as "a treasure to be shared." That treasure includes many outstanding Anglican converts, including St. John Cardinal Henry Newman, a deep reverence for the Holy Eucharist, and a dedication to the recitation of the Divine Office.

Prayer is at the heart of our charism. Our dedication to all the Saints inspires us to remember that it is in the company of all the Saints that we are following Jesus even to Calvary. Our ministries of hospitality focuses on spiritual growth and renewal and include St. Gabriel's Retreat House. Our ministry of the Word includes designing and selling spiritual greeting cards and holy cards. We have a keen interest in land and wildlife preservation with our efforts focused on bluebirds, monarch butterflies, and honey bees.

We long for the unity of the Body of Christ as Our Lord Jesus Christ prayed, "May they all be one." (John 17:21) We endeavor to contribute whatever we can in prayer and in action to further this unity and look forward to the day when there truly will be "one flock and one Shepherd" (John 10:16).
