Mission
The call to Carmel is a call to serve Holy Mother Church through a life of prayer and loving self-offering to God. The vocation of a Carmelite nun is a call to a "hidden union with God" seeking Him in the depths of our soul. We live a life of solitude and silence so as to love God and our Sisters with an authentic love. Our community life is that of a small family in which we help each other on the road to sanctity. The Holy Eucharist is at the heart of our Community life.
Our charism comes from our foundress, St. Teresa of Jesus (of Avila). St. John of the Cross is the Spiritual Father of our Order. The essence of the Carmelite contemplative life is to live in the presence of God, in imitation of Our Most Blessed Mother Mary, and in continual prayer, especially for the Church and for priests.
