Mission
Their charism is a gift of the Holy Spirit to live and announce the Gospel as Sisters Minor, living the love of God and of neighbor, according to the Gospel, in chastity, poverty and obedience, after the example of St. Francis of Assisi. Following the humble, crucified Christ, in a constant attitude of conversion, animated by this spirit of contemplation, poverty, and a humility, they live in fraternity with the focus of their apostolate on the education of the poor and the marginalized.
Qualifications
A young woman, at least 18 years of age, preferably having finished high school, a practicing Catholic, no impediments for religious life. No criminal history, A period of formation in which the candidate will: Clarify vocational choices. Grow spiritually. Learn to live in the community, and participate in an apostolate. Live at home while meeting regularly with the vocation directress. Attending Monthy Retreats with a fraternity Share with the fraternity some weekend
Formation
In the US: 3-6 months as an Affiliate; 6 months to one year as an Aspirant; 1 year Postulancy; 2 years Novitiate; 5-9 years temporary vows. FORMATION IN OUR RELIGIOUS LIFE The formation in its diverse stages of religious life has for its objective to prepare the persons capable of freely consecrating their life to the service of the Kingdom of God according to the spirit of the Gospel and the lifestyle of St. Francis of Assisi and of Mother Caritas.

Originally founded by Blessed Mother Caritas Brader in Colombia in 1893. Formed new congregation Columbia, South America. Spread to Amarillo, Texas in 1933. Mother Caritas died in Pasto Colombia in 1943 and was beatified by John Paul II on March 23, 2003. International houses in Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Benin, Cuba, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. US houses in Amarillo, TX; Los Angeles, CA;Venice, FL
