Holy Mother Saint Clare exhorts you, "when you have loved Him, you are chaste, when you have touched Him, you become more pure, when you have accepted Him, you are a virgin."

Holy Mother Saint Colette emboldens you, "Praise, praise all the time..."

Real separation from the world, silence and solitude, express and protect the integrity and identity of the wholly contemplative life, ensuring that it remains faithful to its specific charism and to the sound traditions of the institute. Pope Saint John Paul II's words of blessing have been and still are a support and encouragement to all cloistered contemplatives. "I entrust to Mary, faithful Virgin and House consecrated to God, your Communities and each one of you. May the Mother of the Lord grant that from your monasteries a ray of that light which enveloped the world when the Word was made flesh and came to live among us should shine forth again!" (from Verbi Sponsa, instructions of the Contemplative Life + enclosure of Nuns, Vatican 1999)
