Mission
"Living joyful fidelity to Christ the King" best describes the charism of the School Sisters of Christ the King. Founded in 1976 by Bishop Glennon Patrick Flavin, we are a community of religious women who exist to love our Spouse, Christ the King, and to make Him loved in the hearts of others. We profess a total belonging to Christ the King, a love for the priesthood and the Eucharist, zeal for souls, and, in the spirit of our patron, St. Alphonsus, devotion to the Passion, and love for Mary. We foster a deep prayer life and share the corporate apostolate of Catholic education.
Qualifications
Those who have heard God's call to the religious life are heartily welcomed. They must have solid moral character, at least average intelligence, good physical and psychological health, and appropriate personal maturity, so that the commitment to spread the Kingdom of God may be lived with joy.
Formation
Postulancy: one to two years; novitiate: two years; temporary vows: five years. Ongoing formation continues throughout their life here on earth.
