Mission

The Sisters of the Holy Cross is a semi-contemplative Institute of Consecrated Life founded in 1970. It is aggregated to the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross. The Sisters' goal is the glorification of the Triune God by a life of following Christ and of participating in His salvific mission. By a life of total self-offering to God, the Sisters dedicate themselves to prayer and active work on behalf of the sanctification of the priestly and religious state, especially on behalf of the priests of the Order of the Holy Cross, as well as on behalf of the great apostolic goals of the Church. The Sisters are both contemplative, after the example of the Holy Angels, who continually behold the Face of God, and active, like the Angels who are sent forth to serve them.
