Mission

Our sisters strive to follow Christ after the example of St. Francis of Assisi, with the Blessed Virgin Mary as our mother and model. So we are devoted to Christ, present in the Eucharist, and to Mary Immaculate. From our foundress, Mother M. Frances Krasse, we know that we are called to serve the sick and the poor with the greatest care and love, and to turn away no one who comes to us for care. Our primary apostolate is healthcare; caring for the sick, the poor, the injured, the aged and the dying. It is sacred ground where we encounter Christ and love and serve Him. The sisters may be missioned to serve in our healthcare system (in areas such as: nursing, social work, physical therapy, accounting, dietary, marketing, radiology, medical technology, information services…) or to teach in Catholic schools.

A desire to serve the Lord; a generous spirit; good mental and physical health; and ability to be a joyful Franciscan in community.
