Mission
The Visitation, a contemplative order, was founded by St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal "to give to God daughters of prayer, and souls so interior that they may be found worthy to serve His infinite majesty and to adore Him in spirit and in truth."
Qualifications
Desire for life of prayer within the cloister; ability to live a community life; sufficient health and maturity to embrace the monastic life.
Formation
Aspirancy: One year; Postulancy: One year; Novitiate: Two years; First profession: Five years, then Solemn Profession.
