The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity invite women (18-40) who may be considering a call to Consecrated Life to join them for any or all upcoming Celebrate the Year of St. Francis Events at Holy Family Convent in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. It is a Green Bay Diocese-decreed pilgrimage site for the Year of St. Francis. On October 2 to 4, a St. Francis-themed Discernment Retreat will begin on Friday evening at 5:30 PM until Sunday noon. October 3 will include a Transitus Service. Prayerfully reflect on your own calling and future in the serene environment of their Motherhouse. On November 8, an 800th Anniversary of the Death of St. Francis Presentation will be shared focused on their own Congregation founding. The talk begins at 2:30 PM but discerners are welcome to plan on coming a day or two before or after the event or design your own convent visit. On December 13, "Grumpy in Greccio," a play on St. Francis and the Nativity crib, will be performed on Sunday at 2:30 PM. On January 10 at 2:30 PM, a prayer service will take place for the closing of the Celebrate the Year of St. Francis Events at Holy Family Convent.
